Cats are lovable and you can easily join some shelter cats to join you for a good snooze. An elderly man of 75years, Terry Lauerman, believes in this theory and heads to his local shelters for a nap with cats on regular basis.

Terry visits the shelter for almost 3 hours daily and spends time with cats. Prior to having a catnap, he brushes them on his own. He repeats the same process even before waking them up. It is a mutually beneficial decision with a positive effect on both sides. The shelter acknowledged his volunteer work and made a post on Facebook regarding this. The post received quite an attention from the Facebook peeps and it went viral. Also, they gained multiple donations and raised funds for this social work.

This post by an animal shelter in Green Bay Wisconsin went viral recently

“He just walked in and started brushing,” the shelter founder told HuffPost

“So eventually we told him he was an official volunteer and had him fill out our volunteer form”

The adorable pictures didn’t take long to win the Internet’s heart

A fundraiser for the shelter in Terry’s name was started and it already raised funds for the shelter to continue for the next year
