It is a very sad incident from Oaxaca, Mexico, more than 300 of turtles were found dead after getting stuck in a fishing net. The news was reported by Mexico’s Federal Agency for Environmental Protection. They found hundreds of turtles floating around with their broken shells. This happened due to their exposure to the sun for more than seven consecutive days.

It is still uncertain what actually killed these turtles but most of them were having injuries which looked to be inflicted by fishing hooks and nets.

It is a general problem for the wildlife as various animals are being caught and killed accidentally meanwhile fishermen pursue other species. According to an expert in marine biology, turtles could have been damaged by 'ghost net.' Furthermore, these innocent animals get caught in the ghost nets and the consequences are in front of you.
